Frederick Clark Mitchell

Frederick Clark (Rick) Mitchell (68) passed away at his home in Seagoville, Texas Friday Afternoon. He was born in Houston, Texas on August 19, 1947. He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Mitchell and Joyce Calloway Hanvey; brother Ronny Mitchell; sister Patricia Mitchell and brother Craig Mitchell. Left with cherished memories is his wife of nearly 40 years, Diana Jean Mitchell. Also remaining are his children, Richard Mitchell & wife Dena of Whitehouse, Stephanie Lindsly & husband Johnny of Ft. Worth, Jason Mitchell & wife Cindy of Center, Joshua Mitchell of Carthage, Britt Mitchell & son Brody of Kaufman and Levie Kirk and husband Justin, 14 grandchildren who called him "Papa" and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other family loved ones and beloved friends. Rick was born and raised in Houston. He owned and operated Mitchell Income Tax Service in Mesquite for 20 years. Prior to owning his own business, Rick was employed by Cox Air Conditioning & Heating where he had worked his way up to become a vice president of the company. In his spare time, Rick enjoyed play golf, dove hunting and playing baseball. He will be truly missed. The family will receive guests at a visitation 6-8pm Monday at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. Funeral Service will be 10:00am Tuesday at Roselawn Funeral Home.
