Gary Blackwell Sr.

Gary Wayne Blackwell, Sr., passed away at his home on March 7, 2016. He was born on January 29, 1958 to James Edward and Virginia Mae (Hickey) Blackwell in Dallas, TX. Gary was born and raised in the Dallas area. He was an excellent carpet-layer and worked for over 30 years for Custom Installation Artists in Garland. Gary loved football, dirt track racing, shooting dice and having a cold beer. His greatest pleasure in life was his family and he enjoyed spending time with them, they will forever hold him in their hearts. Preceding him in death are his parents James and Virginia Blackwell, sister Janie Crowley and brother James Blackwell. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Gary Blackwell, Jr. and fiancée Rachelle Rodriguez; Billy Blackwell and companion Amanda Chaney; grandchildren: Haydenn Blackwell and Jalynn Blackwell; sister Cynthia Beasley; brother Todd Blackwell; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him dearly.
