
George is survived by his help meet in life of 48 years, Nancy Kaye York, daughter Laura and husband Jeff Craig of Lancaster CA., son Robert and wife Ella York of Boyce, LA., 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Jared, Elaina, and Annalise Craig and Edith Anne York, a sister Nancy Holland of Sandusky, OH and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. George and Nancy enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, pastoring churches and sharing Jesus from Maine to Florida, Georgia to California and in Washington DC. They also enjoyed fishing and visiting the National Parks.
George was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant. While serving in Germany he started a church and ministered to the military families.
George was loved by many he served. He taught at Lone Star Baptist College in Mesquite and Ft. Walton Christian School in Florida.
Memorial gifts may be given to Gideon’s International for the spreading of Bibles around the world.
Family will receive friends from 8:30-9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19th at the First Baptist Church of Seagoville, 108 East Farmers Road, the funeral service will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, March 19th, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Don Cole officiating. Interment will follow in the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211 at 11:00 a.m.. Cars should be in the correct lane by 10:45 a.m. Jeff Craig will officiate the graveside service.
