Mr. Harvey Wayne Murchison

Wayne Murchison (86) of Seagoville went home to the Lord on February 23, 2016. He was born in Bardwell, Texas on October 26, 1929 to Harvey Wayne Murchison and Ada (Haney) Murchison. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Jack, David Lester and Ray; his sisters Tyna, Bessie and Ruth and his son Larry Wayne Murchison. Wayne was a truck driver by trade. He retired from Frozen Food Express (FFE) after over 40 years of service. He was very proud of the fact that he had won all the safety awards and never had an accident. He liked to watch old western shows and movies. He enjoyed wearing his western clothes, dancing and traveling. Wayne treasured the time he spent with his family. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. Left with cherished memories is his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Elsie (Massey) Murchison of Seagoville; sons Barry Murchison of Seagoville and James Murchison & wife Mindy of Seagoville; daughter Judy Smith & husband CJ of Crandall; daughter-in-law Rita Ferguson & husband Ron of Forney; 9 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren and numerous other family loved ones and beloved friends. Wayne’s family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of “The Manor at Seagoville” for the wonderful care and compassion he received as a patient. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6-8pm. Wednesday February 24 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Thursday February 25, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville, Texas.
