

Jacquelyn Marie Stevens, 82, passed away on May 9, 2017 in Dallas, TX. She was born on April 16, 1935 to Irene Waage in San Francisco, CA. Jacquelyn came to Mesquite, TX with her husband in 1961, while he was traveling with the military. She retired from Southwestern Bell after 25 years of faithful service, but her most enjoyable career was as a stay at home mom. Jacquelyn was a life-long member, and very involved, of Our Savior Lutheran Church where she also served as the Sunday School Superintendent. She had a fantastic sense of humor and was a very loving mother and grandmother. Preceding her in death are her mother Irene Waage, husband of 60 years Harry Stevens, son Steven Holt and brother Bruce Waage. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Jeffrey Stevens; Terri Fischer and husband, Richard; and Linda Speake and husband, Bill; grandchildren: Michael Stevens and wife, Brittni, Amanda Robertson and husband, Brody, Zachary Taylor, Mackenzie Speake, and Kati Wood and husband, Daniel; great-grandchildren: Logan Stevens, Morgan Stevens, Cormack Robertson, Jackson Wood and Abigail Wood; sister Johanna Dahlin, brother Lance Waage and sister-in-law Emma Guyn; a host of extended family members and friends that will miss her dearly. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville, TX. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 411 N. Town East Blvd., Mesquite, TX 75150.
