Jeanne was born on September 24, 1951, in Munich, Germany, to Owen Oscar Wright and Wanda Runelle Garrett Wright. She was born on an Army base, where her father served as a patrolman. As a baby, her family returned to the United States, and her early years were spent traveling frequently as part of a military family. They eventually settled near Seagoville, Texas, where Jeanne graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School.
On March 30, 1968, Jeanne married the love of her life, Danny Sorrells. Soon after, they welcomed their daughter. Jeanne embraced motherhood with an open heart, and her family quickly became the center of her world. Affectionately known as “Honey Bear” by her husband—a nickname lovingly adopted by her grandchildren—Jeanne was deeply devoted to those she loved.
Jeanne is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Danny Sorrells; her daughter, Laura Beth Hogue; her grandsons, Danny Ray Hogue and his wife, Brittany, and Garrett Hogue and his wife, MaKayla; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Ella Rae Hogue, Marlin Michael Hogue, Willow Beth Hogue, and Emma Mae Hogue. She is also survived by her sisters, Gerry Colbert and Vickie Cornelius.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Mike Wright; and her son-in-law, Marlin Hogue.
Jeanne will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her gentle spirit, and the warmth she brought to those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
