Joel worked at Mastertank and Welding in Dallas, TX and O'Reilly in Seagoville, TX for 20 years until his retirement.

Who is Joel you might ask? He was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, and a Cowboy. He was a man with a big heart and would help others, even if he wasn't in position to do so.

Ever heard of the OU Sooners or the term Boomer Sooner? Well lets just say there was never a bigger fan, EVER!

He loved to brag that his granddaughter went to OU and is a Meteorologist. He forgave the next one for going to OSU, ha!

Joel loved to laugh and shake that darn tea glass. He was an encourager to his children. He did not always know how to express love, but we knew we were loved. He always had our best interest at heart. He shaped us into the wonderful people we are today, even if we say so ourselves.

Joel had some famous sayings, "I'll tell you what", "Slap some bacon on a biscuit, your burning daylight", and "I'll call my lawyer"

(That was our favorite) He loved the Lord, His country, and His dogs: Boomer, Ranger, and Ginger.

In the words of Willie Nelson, his favorite artist,

"Turn out the lights, the party's over"

We will see you soon Dad, we love you with all our hearts! Miss you already!
