Joshua Dewayne Sweet, of Balch Springs, went home to be with the Lord on June 21st, 2023, in Balch Springs. He will be remembered as a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, and neighbor to all that knew him. He was born on April 21st, 1991, in Mesquite Texas to parents Jess Sweet and Reshell Sweet Baggett.
“There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone, the light remains.”
Josh attended school in his hometowns of Balch Springs and Mesquite Texas. He played youth soccer as a young boy and was a big fan of Dragon Ball Z. His general nature was that of a loving and caring young man shown in many thoughtful actions such as his gifting his Dragon Ball Z collection to his niece, and always looking out for ways he could help his loving grandparents. Josh absolutely loved and adored his nieces and nephews, and they all adored him as well. Josh made the wise choice of committing his life to Jesus Christ when he was saved and baptized at the age of 10 years old.
Joshua loved God and he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He helped others in every way he could; as some of you know firsthand.
Josh became a fine man and brought to all of us the most wonderful and cherished memories a child, teenager, and man could have blessed his friends and family with.
At a time of God's choosing, we will embrace Josh as he holds open the gate to Heaven for us.

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die;...a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance.
