Lavena (Bea) Adams

Lavena (Bea) Adams, age 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, October 28, 2018. Lavena was born November 5, 1931 to the late McKinley and Nanny (Wallace) Byrge. She was a very fun-loving person and enjoyed music and dancing. She and her husband Gene loved to go to various singing events. Her favorite pastime, however, was spending time with family. She had a great time entertaining and playing with all her grandchildren. Lavena was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Nanny Byrge; sisters, Thelma Keiss and Evelyn Cooley; husband, Gene Adams and daughter, Sharon Compton. Left to cherish her memories are her brothers, Melvin Byrge and wife JoAnn and Mack Byrge; children, Debbie Compton and husband Tommy, Tammy Willis and husband Eddie and Cindy Hensely; step-children, Gail Wendt and husband Wayne and Larry Adams and wife Terry; grandchildren, Keith Miller, Michael Compton, Heather Miller, Joshua Miller and Chad Willis; great grandchildren, Michael Compton, Jr., Keith Miller, Jr., Dalvin Compton, Calvin Compton, Shakinah Miller, Taylor Miller, Mikayla Miller, Kaleb Miller, Saria Lira, Brooklyn Miller, Luke Lira, Elijah Miller, Hazel Lira, Alex Salazar, Jacoby Salazar, Bella Gains, Heaven Gains and Mia Santos; nieces and nephews, Scott Cooley, Tish Cooley and Reyna Cooley; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 1pm to 2pm at the Roselawn Funeral Home with funeral services immediately following at 2pm with Rev. Ted Kiser officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Keith Miller, Chad Willis, Joshua Miller, Nick Lira, Mike Compton, Jr. and Kaleb Miller. If friends so desire, memorial contributions in Lavena’s memory can be made to the Salvation Army.
