L C Raney, of Forney, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026, in Kaufman, Texas. He will always be remembered as a person with many interests. He was born on September 26, 1931 in Mount Vernon, Texas to the late Guy W Raney and the late Mary Lillie Craft Raney.
L C loved going out to eat with friends and family, and in his younger days going on motorcycle trips. He also did numerous jigsaw puzzles, played his guitar, and wood whittling.
L C is survived by his daughter Cathy Raney Poston and her husband, Pat, of Crandall, Texas; his sister Neva Raney Good of Mesquite, Texas; his daughter-in-law Melanie Lawson of Mabank, Texas; and Bonus family from Utah: Rob, Sam, Ryan, and Bryce Gott. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Elizabeth Bowland Raney; his son Billy Wayne Raney; and his brother John Wayne Raney.
