Marion Lee Baggett

Marion Lee Baggett, lovingly known as Lee, passed away peacefully at his home in Kemp, Texas, on May 28, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on December 18, 1938, in Athens, Texas, he was the cherished son of Lester and Leona 'Lady' (Dixon) Baggett.

On June 20, 1960, Lee married the love of his life, Martha (Miller) Baggett. Over their 65 years together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and unwavering commitment. Together, they raised two children—Leanne and Jacky—who were the center of his world.

Lee was a man of great skill and quiet strength. A gifted craftsman, he worked for over 20 years as a mechanic at Schepps Dairy and was equally talented as a welder and builder. He had an incredible knack for fixing anything and took pride in every project, big or small. His hands built more than things—they built a legacy.

Lee felt most at peace outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, and tending to his chickens. Though a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes—especially in the way he cared for his family. He never let anyone leave without a warm hug and a heartfelt “I love you.”

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Lawrence, Bennie, Royce, Lola, and Lou Ann.

Lee is survived by his devoted wife, Martha; daughter, Leanne (Mark) Williams; son, Jacky (Stephanie) Baggett; sister, Julia Westbrook; grandchildren, Jennifer (Warren) Cave, Brandi (John) Canada, Samantha (Joey) Galvez, Jack (Meghan) Baggett, and Kyle Williams; great-grandchildren, Colton (Madison) Galvez, Justin Galvez, Kaleb, Grace, Ruby, and Trent Baggett, Caden Shelton, Cash, Carson, Adiley, and Jacob Canada, Kystin and Blair Williams; and great-great-grandson, Cody Galvez.

Lee’s quiet presence, steadfast work ethic, and deep love for his family touched everyone who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of humility, kindness, and deep devotion that will live on for generations.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 4, at Roselawn Funeral Home in Seagoville, Texas.

Visitation begins at 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service immediately following.
