

Mark Rickman, of Canton, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, in Canton, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew and loved him. He was born on August 1, 1957, in Ennis, Texas, to Kenneth and Virginia Rickman.
Mark married Sandy on December 23, 1974, in Mesquite, Texas. Together, they had two children, Brandy and Josh.
Mark served in the Navy for six years. Afterwards, he became a truck driver and was a member of Teamsters Local 745 for many years. He was also a member of New Haven Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.
Mark's greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren. He loved country living and enjoyed the simple things in life. Each morning, he would meet friends at the local café to drink coffee with the old men and Karla. Afterwards, he would come home, say his morning prayer, and read his daily Bible passages. He would then spend the day watching reruns of *Gunsmoke*.
Mark Rickman is survived by his wife, Sandy Rickman; his son, Josh Rickman, and wife, Stacey, of Canton, Texas; his grandchildren, Alisa Vasquez of Mesquite, Texas, Jaycee Rickman and fiancé, Caden Bell, of Canton, Texas, and his best buddy, Gage Rickman, of Canton, Texas; his sister, Lisa Albert, and husband, Steve, of Galveston, Texas; his sister, Trisha Sides, and husband, Kevin, of Terrell, Texas; his nephew, Brandon Albert, and wife, Amanda, of Lindale, Texas; his nephew, Aaron Albert, and wife, Nathalie, of Preston, Texas; his nephew, Justin Barham, and wife, Liz, of Kaufman, Texas; his niece, Katie Snyder, and husband, Eric, of Terrell, Texas; Niece, Kimberly Rios and husband Sean of Arlington, Texas; Nephew, Justin Jarolimek and wife Laurie of Wills point, Texas and his niece, Bailey Albert of Illinois; and his Brother-in-law Randy Jarolimek and wife Ann of Wills Point. He also leaves behind numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his cherished church family, including Bro. George and Tina Weldon and their family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brandy Vasquez; his parents, Kenneth and Virginia Rickman; his sister, Brenda Nelson; and his brother, Keith Rickman.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Roselawn Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
