

Mary Belle (Alexander) Ballatine (93) passed away in Kaufman, Texas on June 14, 2016. She was born in Kaufman County, Texas on October 26, 1922 to Malcomb and Susie Alexander. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband James Ballantine; daughter Mary Elizabeth Starns; brothers Gean Alexander & Billie Dee Alexander and sister Willie Mae Faires. Left with cherished memories is her son Jim Earnest Ballantine & wife Cathy Ann; daughter Sue Ellen Aills; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family loved ones and beloved friends. Mary was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed interacting with family and friends. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved to walk. For many years Mary was known around Seagoville as “The Lady that Walked” Mary was a collector. She collected many unusual and unique items. Walking in search of collectable items was one of Mary’s favorite things to do. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6-8pm Friday June 17, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home Seagoville, Texas. Funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday June 18, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery Combine, Texas where Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband James.
