

Mary Louise (Palmer) Gessman, of Crandall, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, in Crandall, Texas. She will always be remembered as a funny, loving, caring, and amazing Mom, best friend, Memaw, Sister, and friend to all who knew and loved her. She was born on June 13, 1945, in Louisiana, Missouri to Sam and Lola Palmer who resided in Bowling Green, Missouri.
Mary graduated Bowling Green High School in 1963, then went on to be a licensed beautician and worked at Bobby Brooks garment factory in Vandalia, Missouri. She then moved to Mexico, Missouri where she had her first day care business. She and her family relocated to Balch Springs, Texas in 1979 where she worked at Dal-Tile in Dallas. She proceeded to be a stay-at-home mom and licensed daycare operator. She always smiled and enjoyed life to the fullest, playing softball, bowling, camping, attending family reunions, sitting outside on her swing spending time with neighbors, singing and boot scootin' to her favorite country and western songs, playing cards and games with family and friends, and drinking her Mountain Dew and Diet Dr. Pepper. She cherished every moment she shared with her three daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. There was never a sport or activity that she did not attend. She enjoyed rodeos, baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, gymnastics, track meets and BMX racing.
Mary is survived by her three daughters, Audy and fiance Michael, Marla and fiance Gary, Molly Lon and husband Rusty; grandchildren, Aaron Pass, McKol Gray, Brynanda Langston, Haley Waugh, McKinley and Ryder Burford; great-grandchildren, Preslee Gore, Lakelynn Pass, Braxton Gray, Gentson Langston and Bryln Blunt; sister, Connie Sue Hoover and husband Roger, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Lola Palmer; her sister, Wanda Lou Sharpmack, and her husband Roger Dale Gessman.
