Mary Alice Grimes

Mary Alice Grimes, age 91, of Seagoville, Texas passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023. Mary was born on April 20, 1931, in Dallas, Texas to William Melvin and Mary Ella Dickerson. Mary Alice married Pete Grimes on July 1st of 1950, and together they spent 60 years until his passing in 2011. Mary Alice was a Faithful Christian. She loved the Lord and her brothers and sisters in Christ. Mary Alice loved and adored her Family and Friends. Her grandkids and great-grandkids were very special to her. She was the best Granny to walk this earth. You could always count on her. She graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins High School and had a degree in banking. Mary Alice built an impressive career in the industry, first with the Federal Reserve Bank and then the Seagoville State Bank (now Home Bank), where she retired as the Vice President after 38 years of service. Mary Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Floyd 'Pete' D. Grimes, and her beloved daughter, Judith Dalton. She is survived by her son, Michael Grimes; Granddaughter, Alisa Ashlye Dalton Bogle; Grandson, Joshua Grimes, and wife Kacy; Great-Granddaughters, Gracye Bogle, Laurel Grimes, and Faith Grimes. A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, March 20, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Seagoville Church of Christ, 510 N Kaufman St, Seagoville, TX 75159. A committal service will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159.
