He is survived by his wife Hillary, his mom Tammie McBay and Father Paul (Mike) Atkins. His Children, Genesis Davila, Victoria Atkins, Caleb Atkins and Michael Atkins Jr. Stepchildren, Amelia Theller & Mathew Theller, Mother-In-law, Elizabeth Theller, Siblings, John Atkins, Alexis and husband Austin Henke. Many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He is preceded in death by his dad (Steve) and many other family. members.
Michael loved his children and family so much, he made them a huge part of his life and made phone calls to them often. He also had many friends that he cared and thought of as family. He went to Lakeview Centennial and Seagoville High school. His occupation was a land surveyor for many years.
Michael enjoyed all sports, he started out playing soccer. The family started a soft ball team, he could run so fast that he was able to help his mom and aunt catch balls in the outfield. Michael was a switch hitter when it came to batting. He was a very good athlete. His dad Steve also taught him to fish they would spend many weekends fishing. In the last 4 years he began playing pool in a league with his dad, he won many awards. Michael was very competitive when it came to any sport. The Dallas Cowboys was his favorite team, as many knew. He was a huge fan.
He liked to watch Movies with his kids, his wife and mom. Cooking also became something he liked to do, always trying different recipes. He was so funny afterwards he would take a picture and post on social media, bragging about how good it was.
He wanted to live so much longer although God had a different plan for him. We will miss him so much, there is now an empty place in our hearts. May you Rest in Peace now free of pain.
