Michael E Ward

Michael Eric Ward, 53, passed away on December 27, 2015 in Rockwall, TX. He was born on July 14, 1962 to Billy Joe and Lorene (Norman) Ward in Dallas, TX. Michael loved the drag racing world and was a former race car owner as well. He was extremely talented and built some amazing cars over the years. He was known as being a jokester and a very funny person with a quick wit and never met a stranger. He was determined to be a loving father and loved his sons and family very much. Preceding him in death are his parents, nephew Brandon Anderson, nephew Jason Takats, sister Kelly Ward and aunt Moreen Nash. Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Casey Yates, Keith Yates, Chad Ward, Clint Ward and Camden “Cam” Ward; siblings: Tammie McBay and husband, Steve; Robin Pryor and husband, Wes; Lisa Ward and husband, Jeff; Shelby Ward and wife, Rhonda; Billy Ward and wife, Lisa and Kimberly Dodd and husband, Steven; 4 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends that will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, TX followed by interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens where he will be laid to rest in the Garden of Valley View.
