Mildred Lorene Lipscomb Stark was born August 4, 1922 in Anderson County, TX to Owen Martin Lipscomb and Wilna Lorene Curry Lipscomb, and passed away June 25, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Twyman "Wink" Stark and her parents.
She is survived by her brother, Charles Lipscomb and wife Sue, of Chandler, TX and by other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Lipscomb and sisters, Vernita Lasiter and Edith M. Riley that recently passed on 6/29/2020.
Mildred attended Mesquite High school as a young lady. Later she worked for Sears & Roebuck on Lamar St. in Dallas, TX in the accounting department. She left there to have a newspaper route with her husband for the Dallas Times Herald. Later she returned to Sears & Roebuck where she retired after 32 years of service.
She was a dedicated Christian and attended Lawson Road Baptist Church in Dallas, for 40 years. She moved membership to the First Baptist Church in Seagoville.
Mildred had a passion for baseball. She and her husband traveled to St. Louis to attend the Cardinal Baseball games. If she wasn't attending the Texas Rangers baseball games, she was watching them on tv or listening to them on the radio. She enjoyed rodeos, fishing and playing Double 9 Dominoes. She loved to travel. She and her husband have traveled all over the USA, Mexico and Canada in their time together.
