Morris Allen Born March 1, 1928 in Paris, Texas to Lonnie T. Allen and Victoria America Bays and went home to meet the Lord on July 27, 2014 in Rockwall, Texas. Preceded in death by his lovely wife of 45 years Zelma Allen, parents Lonnie and Victoria Allen, twin brother Norris Allen, sisters Geraldine “Gerry” Tharp, Bobbie Casteel, Al Curry, Melba Morrison, and brother Grady Allen. Survived by son Lynn Elder, son Michael Elder, daughter Ivey Shing and husband Richard, son Harvey Elder and wife Jenny, daughter Lisa Allen and daughter Shelby Elder, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 sisters Gladys Wideman and Dorothy Hayden and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Sunday August 3, 2014 at Roselawn. Graveside Services will be at DFW National Cemetery at 2 PM on Monday August 4, 2014 where he will be laid to rest beside his wife Zelma and Military Honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army due to his faithful and dedicated service.
