Norma Jean Webb

passed away and went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 6, 2020. She is

preceded in death by her parents, Curtis C. and Imogene Webb. She is survived by her

devoted and longtime friend, Pat Ball, her beloved dogs, Dori and Nemo and too many

very special friends to mention.

Norma was an outstanding educator and counselor with DISD for over 34 years. Her

bright, inquisitive mind and her implacable, steady demeanor influenced thousands of

students and fellow teachers throughout her distinguished career. A true trailblazer,

Norma became the 1st female Administrator at the secondary level in DISD when she

was chosen to become the Dean of Instruction at Spruce HS. This honor greatly

affected women’s equality and advancement in DISD for decades to come.

After retirement in 1987, Norma passionately pursued her many diverse talents and

hobbies, including raising and showing miniature horses, operating her photography

business, Frozen Image, as well as assisting Pat Ball build a successful travel and tour

business, Breakaway Tours.

Norma will be sorely missed by Pat, and her many, many great friends! She would wish

and expect all to rejoice in her blessed and abundant life well lived!

The celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, 3/12/2020, at Calvary Baptist

Church, 1609 Rand Rd., Kaufman, TX. Visitation with luncheon will begin at 12:00 noon,

with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m.
