Patricia Byers

Patricia Byers, age 81, of Gun Barrel City, Texas passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all that knew and loved her. Patty was born in Ottumwa, Iowa to Leonard and Ruth Canny.

Pat was a strong, loving generous woman who loved life more than most. She enjoyed her family, friends, gardening, and traveling. Always collecting memories and shells. She loved life and she loves you.

Pat is survived by her Sister, Jenny Eaves of Ottumwa, Iowa, Sister, Rhonda Warren of Ottumwa, Iowa, Brother, Larry Canny of Gun Barrel City, Texas, Brother, Tommy Canny of Ottumwa, Iowa, Son, Danny Angstead of Gun Barrel City, Texas, Daughter, Debbie Whitehead of Gun Barrel City, Texas, Daughter, Jackie Cavitt of Burleson, Texas, and Son, Douglas Angstead of Seven Points, Texas, and two step-sons, Michael Byers of Michigan and David Byers of Michigan. She also was survived by 10 Grandchildren, Bill Whitehead, Daniel Angstead, Brian Whitehead, Nick Angstead, Leslie Kirby, Haley Holley, Jessica Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Charles Cavitt, Parker Angstead, 18 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandson.

Pat was preceded in death by her Loving Husband, Tom Byers, and her Siblings, Gary Canny, Chuck Canny & Steve Canny.

The Visitation will be held from 10-11:30 AM at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on April 1st, 2023 at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes, which was her Favorite Charity.
