Willie Pauline Kirby Mathis Smith, better known as Gram, of Seagoville, Texas went home to her final reward on March 19, 2019 at the age of 98. She was born in Mineral Wells, Texas on July 20, 1920 to Pressley Bailey Kirby and Willie Stokes Kirby.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands Troy Mathis Sr. and Afton Smith; one son Troy Ted Mathis Jr.; one grandson Robert Mathis; two brothers and four sisters.
She left behind her three loving sons; Wayne Mathis and wife Doris of Delmar, Maryland, Larry Mathis and wife Margaret of Seagoville, Texas and Martin Smith of Buffalo Gap, Texas, her adoring daughters; Patricia Barrow and husband Jack of Lone Oak, Texas, Paula Hughes and husband Bill or Abilene, Texas and Kathy Heath and husband Earl of Blue Ridge, Texas, one sister LaVonne Petty of Seagoville, Texas, twelve grandchildren; Curtis Mathis, Teresa Fuller, Bradley Mathis, Gary Cox, Troy Mathis, Stephen Mathis, Paul Mathis, Gretchen Swaim, LeAnn Diaz, Amy Terry, Lindsay Savage, Kassi Withers and one adopted granddaughter Sheila Baker, 34 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, a host of church family members and her Christian Care Center family and many many friends.
