Ralph Sexton Mills, Sr. was the ninth child of fourteen children born in Wake County North Carolina to Hugh Edward Mills and Mary Sue Pendergrast Mills on August 15, 1930 and went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2015, in Bonham, Texas. Ralph joined the Army and served during the Korean Conflict. After the service, Ralph moved to Texas where he was a salesman, businessman and served the City of Seagoville as a councilman. Ralph was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seagoville. He had a heart as big as Texas and he helped those down on their luck, senior citizens and the homeless. On June 15, 1957, Ralph married Syble Beets in Seagoville, Texas. In addition to his parents and wife, Ralph was preceded in death by his first grandson, Cris Love, Jr., and siblings, Elizabeth, Edith, Louise, John (“Jay”), Hugh Edward, Jr., Joseph (“Joe”), Erdalee, Carolyn and Sophie. Ralph is survived by his three children, Ralph Sexton Mills, Jr. (“Skipper”), MeLynda Mills Love and husband Cris, and Russell Scott Mills and wife Kris; six grandchildren, Tyler Mills, Chelsea Love Clarke, Matthew Mills, Alexandra Mills (“Lexi”) and Andrew Mills; two great granddaughters, Avery Clarke and Kendall Clarke; and four sisters, Clarice, Joyce, Shelby and Judy; niece who was like a daughter, Vicki Shipley and husband Jess; and many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Ralph.
