

Richard Pink Rucks was born August 1, 1925 in Alex, Oklahoma to Cyrus Wylie Rucks and Fern Marie Osborne Rucks and passed away on February 7, 2022 at the age of 96 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Gayla Fern Rucks Stephenson, grandson Jonas Kenneth Rucks, brothers, William Franklin Rucks, Charles Walker Rucks, Homer Lee Rucks Sr, Floyd Marie Rucks and sister Minnie Ruth Rucks. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 76 years, Robbie Lena Hitt Rucks, son Richard Wylie and wife Trisha Rucks, daughter Andrea and husband Jim Nichols, son in law Stewart Stephenson. Grandchildren, Jolene and husband Tommy Lindop, Heather and husband Bobby Kirby, Jason and Robin Stephenson. Great grandsons Elliott, Coy Mack, great granddaughter Kennadee.
Richard was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Seagoville and spent his life according to God’s word and a faithful servant of the Lord. Richard retired from the Dallas Fire Department as a driver with 25 years and one of the original fireman that started the Seagoville Volunteer Fire Department in the early 50s. Richard was a Merchant Marine during War ll, his last ship was the SS Dashing Wave which led the 6th Fleet under the Golden Gate Bridge in 1945 carrying troops home. Richard and Robbie loved to travel in their Silver Streak whether it was taking the grandkids to the beach or one of many State Parks and Travel Clubs with friends. He loved being outdoors connecting with nature and spent many an hour piddling in one of his many barns and out buildings. He will be greatly missed by all…
