I will never forget Robert's infectious laugh! He loved to laugh and was always making others laugh, too! He loved to share good times with family and friends, and always had a good joke to share. He loved NASCAR, and loved to talk about it, too! I will always remember how he would be at every single little league baseball game cheering on his grandson, and my son, too. He was so proud of them and even nicknamed my son "dynamite kid"! One thing I know for sure is how much he loved his family. Robert has always loved his family unconditionally. He protected his precious wife and family, and was always self-sacrificing. His love will live on in the hearts of his family. May God comfort, and be with his family, and all who knew this precious man.

IN 1977 AT THE YOUNG AGE OF 19 I WAS STATIONED AT NAS KINGSVILLE,TX. I WAS TRAVELING TO SEAGOVILLE FOR A FAMILY REUNION. AROUND 10:00 P.M. MY CAR OVERHEATED IN WACO. I CALLED RITA AND ROBERT TO LET THEM KNOW I WASN'T GOING TO BE ABLE TO MAKE IT THAT NIGHT. ROBERT SAID STAY PUT I'LL BE THERE AS SOON AS I CAN. ROBERT HAULED SEVERAL JUGS OF WATER TO WACO AND WE WERE ABLE TO LIMP MY CAR TO THEIR HOUSE IN SEAGOVILLE. THE NEXT MOURNING HE HELPED ME FIND THE LEAK,AND DROVE ME TO THE PARTS STORE TO GET A BYPASS HOSE. BECAUSE OF HIS KINDENESS TO HELP ME I WAS ABLE TO ATTEND THE REUNION. ROBERT WILL ALWAYS BE A VERY GOOD , KIND , AND LOVING MAN. HE WILL BE MISSED.

Robert was so kind to our family throughout the years. We considered Robert and Rita as the dearest of friends. He will be missed greatly but know that his pain and suffering is no more. He is in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ now. Prayers for Rita and entire Claxton family !
