Roosevelt was born on December 27, 1939, to Roosevelt Taylor Sr., and Josie George. He was baptized at an early age and was a member of Tripp Baptist Church in Sunnyvale, Texas. He worked for the city of Dallas as a heavy machinery operator, mainly a backhoe, for 25 years before retiring at age 57.
Roosevelt is now fishin' in heaven.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sarah; his sons, Cory, Rock, Eric, and family; his daughter, Tamika, and family; his grandsons and granddaughters; and his sisters and brothers, Eugene, Robert, Ann, Alberta, Ernestine, and Helen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Janette Keller, sister Hazel Carter, nephew Pap Conway, and Carolyn Taylor.
There will be no repass to follow services, instead, please go home and visit with your loved ones.
