Ruby Jewel Langley Locklear was born around Bailey, Texas, in Fannin County on November 15, 1935 and went home to the Lord on September 18, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lethel Langley, 1 sister and 4 brothers. Left with treasured memories to cherish are her loving husband of 61 years, Waylon Leon Locklear; Daughter Shirley Jo Peoples and husband Jim; Son David Leon Locklear and wife Laura; grandchildren Jena Jolene Mullican and husband Scot; Stacie Lynn Garrett-Diaz and husband Bart; Stephen Dwayne Locklear; great grandchildren Hunter, Garrett & Haley and numerous other family loved ones and beloved friends. Ruby enjoyed shopping, decorating her house and being a homemaker. She especially enjoyed her animals and family. Ruby was loved very much by and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Ruby’s life will be 2:00pm Tuesday September 23, 2014 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. The family will receive friends at a visitation 12-2pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment in the Garden of Valley View, Roselawn Memorial Cemetery, Seagoville, Texas will follow the service Bro. Chet Hensley officiating.
