Ruth Dyer Carter passed away in Acworth, GA on February 18, 2015 at the age of 89. She was born to Nat and Ruth Dyer on November 24, 1925 at Mountain Home, Arkansas. Ruth, affectionately known as, Memaw, loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also cherished the time spent with her sisters and was truly a woman that loved her family more than anything. She also enjoyed time spent worshiping with the Bible Study Fellowship, which was very dear to her heart. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Earnest Earl Carter; children: Nat Dyer Carter and wife, Laura of Plano, TX, William Earl Carter and wife, Cindy of Mesquite, TX, and Elyse Bailey and husband, Michael of Acworth, GA; grandchildren: Kimberly Ann Krone, Latrica Nicole Carter and Ashley Marie Carter, Rachel Cooper Carter, Catherine Elizabeth Carter, great-grandchildren: Tristan, Hayden, Camden and Serenity; sisters: Onolda Tabor and husband, James D. of Smackover, AR, Myrtle Offutt and husband, Donald of Hot Springs, AR, Ida Marie Lewis and husband, Muriel of Roland, AR, and Joan Boerner and husband, Henry of Sherwood, AR, brother-in-law George Reynolds of Rome, GA; 7 nephews, 5 nieces and a host of extended family and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, her sister, Natalie Reynolds, a nephew, Lee Sutherlin and a brother-in-law, Richard Sutherlin. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Seagoville, TX.
