

Sandra Gay Berthlot, born September 7, 1940 in Port Arthur TX, in the loving care of her parents Woodrow and Syble Berthlot, entered her eternal home on June 19, 2026. A longtime resident of Seagoville, TX, Sandra lived a life shaped by unwavering faith, gentle strength, and a heart that always had room for others, Sandra lived a life defined by kindness, devotion, and grace.
Her love for God guided her every step. Sandra found great joy in leading Bible studies at her church, where her insight and compassion touched countless lives. Her voice—warm, steady, and full of praise—was a blessing to many as she sang in the church choir, a ministry she treasured. At home, she delighted in spoiling her pets, who adored her gentle spirit, and she embraced the fun of trying new hobbies, always curious, always learning, always finding joy in the simple gifts of life.
Sandra was a warm, caring, and loving mother, spouse, sister, and friend. Her devotion to family was the foundation of her days, and her kindness extended to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She made people feel seen, valued, and loved—an extraordinary gift she shared freely.
She is survived by her beloved spouse, Doris Wertz and her children; Sandra’s sister, Carla Dodge, and husband Ray Dodge; her brother, Woody Berthlot, and spouse Anne; her daughter, Cheryl Clark; her sons, Mark Clark and Chris Clark and a number of grandkids and great grandkids; and her former husband, Robert Clark. Each carries forward her legacy of faith, compassion, and love.
Sandra’s life was a testament to the beauty of a kind heart and a steadfast spirit. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who were blessed by her presence. May she rest in eternal peace.
Services will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home on Monday, June 29, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, Celebration of Life to be held at 2:00 PM, with a Committal Service to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
