

Sarah Elizabeth Barnard was born on January 5, 1934 to the late Thomas Byrd Lovejoy and Ina Idell Porter Lovejoy in Pidcoke, Texas. She married Basil Dean Barnard on July 22, 1950, who she was married to for 63 years, before he passed away on March 14, 2014.
She is preceded in death by her husband Basil Dean Barnard, brothers James Lovejoy and Brooks Lovejoy, sister Natalie Connor, son-in-law Jerry Lynn Pipins and daughter-in-law Vicky Lynn Barnard. She is survived by her son Lonnie Barnard, daughter Brenda Brandstetter and husband Joel, daughter Pam Pipins, 9 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter.
After the death of her mother, Sarah was raised by her grandparents Samuel Robert Porter and Cora Bella Goodnight Porter, along with her aunts Estelle Porter and Mary Bell Porter and Uncle Walter Porter, also known as Unkie Dunk.
Sarah grew up in Pidcoke, Texas and later moved to Waco, Texas after she married. After her first two children were born, she moved to Dallas, Texas. She worked in the family business as a bookkeeper at Barnard Appliance and was also very active in her church and the community.
Sarah was called home to heaven and entered into eternal rest and peace on April 16, 2021 in Rockwall, Texas at the age of 87.
Visitation will be held on April 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Landmark Family Fellowship, 2523 Clay Mathis Road, Mesquite, Texas. Funeral Service will be held on April 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Landmark Family Fellowship, 2523 Clay Mathis Road, Mesquite, Texas. Committal Service will be held on April 23, 2021 at 3:30 pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1000 South Highway 175, Seagoville, Texas.
