Sharon was a member of Kleberg Church of Christ. A church that was started by her paternal Grandmother. Sharon was originally a beautician. She quickly left that field of work and worked in a cabinet shop. The cabinet shop was sold and became a van conversion factory. She was allergic to the insulation used in the vans and was unable to continue working there. She went to work for Dal-Tile in 1989. She worked there until she retired in order to take care of her Mother. Sharon was a single mother who worked hard to care for her parents and her children. Raising her four children was a tag-team effort between Sharon, her parents, and siblings. She enjoyed taking trips to see her sister in Virginia and, most of the time, would have a couple of grandchildren tagging along with her and her Mother.
Sharon will be remembered most for her loving and giving way of life. She would gladly give you the shirt off her back. She seemed to always find a way to help others. Her Grandson, Cody, shared a quote that fit his Granny oh so well, “When you measure a (wo)man, take the full measure”. If we were to measure Sharon, I believe she would stand head and shoulders above the rest. There’s a song by George Jones called “She Loved a Lot In Her Time”. This song could’ve easily been written about our beloved Sharon – just ask anyone who knew her.
