Sherry Lynn Sloan Cullum was a loving wife, stepmother, and friend. Sherry was a doting grandmother and great grandmother. She passed away on June 2, 2022 at the age of 72 in Combine, Texas after a battle with cancer.
Sherry was born February 7, 1950 to Vernon Sloan and Louise Sloan in Dallas.
She attended schools in Pleasant Grove and went on to graduate from H Grady Spruce High School in Dallas.
Some years later she met her best friend Clifford Bryan Cullum and married him in 1990.
Sherry was multitalented. She could cook, sew, paint, and create macrame. She was the National Sales representative for Product Promotions Texas. She was an avid race fan and would delight in telling stories of drivers she knew and races she had attended while she was part owner/operator of Personalizingly Yours, a sunglasses/ t-shirt and engraving business that she and Cliff took on the road. Later, she sold hairpieces and handmade jewelry at Canton and other venues where she knew everyone and was known by everyone.
Sherry was down to earth, sweet tempered and welcoming. She never met a stranger and made everyone feel like they were special to her. She loved good food and lively conversation.
She leaves behind her husband, Cliff Cullum and her cousin Vicki Flannery. Her survivors also include her stepchildren Laurie Winchester and husband Randy, Matthew Cullum, Aaron Cullum and wife Carolyn as well as her grandchildren Nicole, Bradley, Jeffrey, Sarah, Cody, Joseph, Ashley, Zachary and great grandchildren: Colby, Cailin, Everleigh, and Koyt.
A funeral service will be held at Wednesday June 8, 2:00 p.m at Laurel Land Funeral Home and Memorial Park 6300 South RL Thornton Fwy, Dallas, Texas 75232.
