

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace”. On Friday evening, August 5, 2016, God in his unmatchless power called one of his most humble loving servants, Sherry Vanison Curtis to eternal rest. Sherry was born on August 28, 1961 to the late Mr. Willie L. Vanison and Mrs. Rosie L. Vanison of Monticello, Mississippi. Sherry accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at Pearl River Valley Missionary Church. She served as an usher, choir member, teacher, women ministry and many other ministries . She graduated from Monticello High School Monticello, Mississippi. She received an associate degree in childcare at Copiah Lincoln Jr. College, Wesson, Mississippi After her move to Dallas, Texas she joined Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church where she was an active member. She served as a teacher in the youth department, singles ministries, choir, and a supporter of the drill team. Sherry married her love Eric Stanley Curtis on October 13, 1990 where they begin life as one for 25-years. Two beautiful children were born, Eric Kentrell Curtis and Brittany Rena Curtis. She is preceded in death by her father-Willie L Vanison, brother Rodger Wade Vanison, grandparents, Ms. Mary Marie Vanison, and Mr. & Mrs. Wade Williams. Sherry was a very humble and loving daughter, wife, mother and sister. She leaves to cherish her special and loving memories a devoted husband Eric S. Curtis, two lovely children Eric Kentrell Curtis and Brittany Rena Curtis all of Irving, TX. A loving and caring mother Mrs. Rosie L. Vanison-Monticello, MS; three brothers James Vanison (Gail) of Waxahachie TX; Jake D. Vanison (Gloria) of Monticello, MS; Calvin Abrams ( Ruth) of Monticello, Ms; Six sisters—Rebecca Gillispie (Tommie) of Brandon, MS; Delores Randolph of Monticello, MS; Sidney Jones of Tupelo, MS; Mary, Marjorie & Terry Vanison all of Irving, TX; Her mother-n-law –Janell Davis; her father-n-law—Rodger Davis; sister-n-law—Neverlyn Manning(Jerry) all of Dallas, TX; brother-n-law--Andrea Davis (Casssandra) Austin, TX. Special loving aunt & uncle Mr. & Mrs. J.C. Butler of Monticello, MS. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and the Mt. Pisgah B.C. Family.
