Sue Kirby

Sue S. Kirby was born in Dallas, Texas on May 4, 1941 to Richard & Mildred Smith and passed away in Kaufman, Texas on May 15, 2014 at the age of 73. She is preceded in death by her parents, her children’s father Gaston Kirby, Sister Frances Warren, Brothers Fred Smith, Walter Smith, T.A. Smith and John Smith.

Left with treasured memories are Son Gary Kirby & wife Diane, Daughter Paula & four legged companion Hunter, Stepson Ronnie Kirby, Brother Arthur Smith & wife Charlene, Sister Ann Brennan & husband Carroll, Sister Millie Stringfellow, Brother Jack Smith, Brother Billy Smith & wife Debbie, Sister in Law Shirley Smith wife of Fred Smith, Grandchildren Lacy, Woody and Dustin and Great Grandchild Karley.

Sue was employed for 43 years by Sears & Roebuck as an office worker. She loved her work so much that after retiring she missed work and friends so much that she went back to work a few more years until she retired again. Sue also enjoyed working her yard and garden, shopping with her sisters and staying with her daughter Paula. She cherished the time she spent with her family. She liked to cook for her family at gatherings but she especially liked to eat breakfast cook on a grill by someone else.

The family will receive friends at a visitation 2-4pm Sunday May 18, 2014 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Monday Mary 19, 2014 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville, Texas, Where she will be laid to rest in Valley View Garden.
