Tanja was born with her twin sister in Dallas Texas on August 24th, 1956, to Doyle & Lorene Brewer. She grew up in Pleasant Grove of Dallas. Tanja never met a stranger. She always went the extra mile to help others whenever she could. She was a very upbeat and happy person. Her joyous humor was contagious. Family and friends have sent numerous messages of her kindness, loving heart, and sweetness. Tanja had a smile and laugh that would light up every room. All who knew her, loved her.
As a teenager she was on the drill team and loved playing softball and tennis. She was known as the Foosball queen in the 70’s. Her hobbies over the years included painting, drawing, pastels and acrylic painting and she was very talented at it. Her daughter was her pride and joy, she was involved in everything that she did and loved every moment of it. She was a Super Mom!! She also loved reading, music, singing, dancing, watching movies and spending time with her many dogs over the years.
Tanja was introduced to Leon in 1978. He became her husband of 45 years. They resided in Balch Springs, TX. In their early years of marriage, they enjoyed car racing and boating on the lake. They loved watching football, hanging out with family and friends, some of their most memorable times was at If That Ain’t Country, a family-oriented club in Pleasant Grove. In all their 45 years of marriage they were never apart.
The greatest joy of Tanja’s life was her grandson. She was extremely proud of him. They had a special bond, a bond that only a grandparent knows. She never missed a thing, you could say that she was a Super Granny too!
One of her achievements was working for Deloitte a CPA firm as an executive assistant for 25 years. She had many colleagues and partners who became friends, even after retirement she still kept up with them.
Family was very important to Tanja. She was devoted to spending time with family. She rarely missed birthday celebrations, special occasions or just any ole get together. Especially family reunions, she looked forward to spending time with cousins, aunts and uncles that she only got to see once a year.
She will be missed by all that loved her and the many lives she touched. She would not want us to be sad because she is finally at peace and no longer suffering. She is in Heaven with her loved ones who have gone before her.
