Tanya was born at Florence Nightingale in Dallas, Texas on March 23, 1941 to Bill & Fay Dieterman.
Tanya was known by many names, Daughter, Sister, Mom, Mom-in-Love, Grannie Tannie, “G”, Aunt, Cousin, Tannie Bananie, and Friend to so many. She was a Christian, prayer warrior, beautiful example of what a Godly woman is, funny, kind, wild in her younger days, so easily tickled and to know her was to know the meaning of unconditional love.
Tanya worked for JC Penny as a Merchandise Quality Control Analyst and retired after 20 years. Just a few of the things she loved were reading her Bible, looking at flowers, watching the birds outside of her window, lunch and a good margarita with family & friends, movies and popcorn curled up in blankets, sitting outside around the fire pit and long drives for no reason.
Family who went home before and were awaiting her arrival are her parents Bill & Fay Dieterman, grandmother, Pearl Dieterman, aunt, Anna Simmons & sister, JoAnna McMillen.
Waiting to meet up later are her son and daughter- in-love, Gregory & Lyn Lambert, grandson, Jake Lambert, sister & brother-in-law, Denna & Larry Elliott, niece & nephews Christie Elliott, Kirk Elliott and Danny Stout, cousins, Scott & Pat Simmons, lifelong friend, Melinda Allen, special friends, Tony & Judy Seeger, Gene & Kay Hoggard, Dell Guynes, special grandkids, Ariel Lusk, Cody Ahmed & Alex Sims.
We as a family would like to thank Enhabit Home Health & Hospice care providers Julian, Renee, Gabe, Tameka, Regina and Michael for the care, kindness, strength, gentleness, prayers and hugs you shared not only for Tanya but to Greg, Lyn & Jake as well.
We would also like to thank the Combine Fire Department for always coming to our rescue, providing comfort, and love over the years. The care you all continuously showed by checking in on Tanya, is more meaningful than you will ever know and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
