Thurman L Hoover

Thurman Luther Hoover, of Dallas, Texas, entered into rest on October 14, 2022 in Garland, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving father to all that knew him. He entered into life on May 25, 1936 in Dallas, Texas to parents Arthur Thurman Hoover & Lillie Mae Ellis.

Thurman was an accomplished gospel musician who was talented in playing an assortment of instruments. He enjoyed spreading the word of God through his music and was passionate about using his talents to bring joy to all who had the privilege of listening to him play.

He was preceded in death by his sisters: Pauline Birch of Bettie, Texas and Jeanette Boyd of Duncanville, Texas.

Thurman is survived by his children, Patty Lou Sturgeon (husband Timothy) of Canton, Texas, son, Arthur Dean Hoover of Las Vegas, Nevada, son, Thurman Ray Hoover (wife Anita) of Glen Pool, Oklahoma, and son, Jimmy Allen Hoover (wife Vicki) of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Bryant (wife Jordan), Briana Mejia, Madyson Henry, Chris Hoover, Joshua Hoover, Eric Hoover, Jeremy Hoover (wife Angela), Becky Kok (husband William), Jennifer Wyman (husband Joseph), Richard Hoover (wife Kim), and Stefani Floyd (husband David); and great-grandchildren, Colson, Ayden, Keegan, Caden, Markus, Austin, Halynn, Shayla, Kahlea, Kailyn, Kamilla, Karissa, Madison, Eliana, William JP, Samuel (wife Lauren), Sara, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Kinzie, Carly, Kayleigh, and Avery.

Visitation will take place the evening of Friday, October 21, 2022 from 6-8PM at Roselawn Funeral Home in Seagoville, Texas. A Graveside service will take place the morning of Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 10:00AM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville, Texas.
