Virgil Walter Stephens

He married the love of his life Bobbie (Barbara) Noble on August 4, 1965. Steve's usual occupation was to refinish high-end furniture. Steve served in the United States Army Air Corps in the 40's and later on enjoyed the simple things like camping, gardening, carving canes and playing Scrabble. He was a talented singer and loved to sing with his family.

Steve is survived by his wife Bobbie; sons: David Stephens and wife Flo, Joseph Stephens and wife Glenda; daughters: Lisa Land and husband Jerry, Lori Stephens and husband Herve, and Punkin (Kristine) Little; grandchildren: Christa Skalla, Farrah Sommer, Trevor Yokochi, Rachel Campbell, Sadie Land, Abby Land, Caylee Little, Joshua Little, Julien Abdi-Stephens, Samuel Stephens, Samantha Stephens and Benjamin Madden; great grandchildren: Dalton Skalla, Ian Skalla and a host of extended family members and friends that will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by parents: Samuel and Myrtle Stephens; sisters: Marchie Faye, Vera May, Francis Adelle, Zumer, Lanota LaNell; and son Richard Stephens.

A visitation for Steve will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM at The Rock Church, 14201 US-175, Seagoville, TX 75159 and a committal service will follow the funeral service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
