Richard Whitfill, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on July 6th, 2026 at the home in Dallas, Texas built by his father in 1949. He will always be remembered as a loving son, faithful family member, good friend, and colleague to all that knew and loved him. He was born on March 26, 1949, in Dallas, Texas to Wendell and Genie (Kelt) Whitfill.
He was educated in Dallas and received a Bachelor degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, before entering a career as a bank accountant. Richard loved classical music, especially Mozart, coin collecting, and trips to the Kimbell Museum.
Richard is survived by cousins on both sides of his family, mostly from Ennis and Chatfield, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
A visitation will be held for Richard on Thursday, July 15, 2026 at 1 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home in Seagoville, Texas, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2 pm. A short Committal Service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens afterwards at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to the charity of your choice.
