Willie Clara Yaws, known as Granny B, age 81 resided in Mesquite, Texas at the Christian Care Center, passed away on August 6, 2018. She raised her family in Seagoville, Texas and attended the Seagoville, Church of Christ since 1966.
She was born in Wilson, Texas March 6, 1937. She was married to William Charles Yaws, known as Bill for 38 years.
She is survived by Bob and Michelle Wardlaw of Rockwall, Janet Dyess of Waxahachie, J.T. and Kay Taylor of Seagoville and Mark and Amy Yaws of Livingston. He son Charles Richard Yaws met Jesus on August 20, 1988.
She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was a stay at home housewife while her children were being raised. Later she worked at A&B Bag and Numos Factory.
She was famous at Christian Care for her singing. It’s been told that people sat in the hallway and listened to her belting out old gospel songs.
She was also known for her sense of humor, we heard that all the time. She had many one liners.
