Barbara Jean Quarles

She began her faith journey at the Church of Christ in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was baptized at the age of 12 and never waivered in her faith and love of the Lord Jesus Christ. She always put her children first and would go without to make sure their needs were met.

She resided in Seaside, California for many years and enjoyed spending time on the beach, in Big Sur, or any where her car could take her and her children for an outing.

Bobbie enjoyed life and nothing gave her more joy than singing, spending time with family and friends playing Bid Whist, Bingo, or just listening to music and having a great time. She loved to read, tell stories, recite poetry and trying her hand at knitting and arts and crafts. She was a great story teller and was a master at keeping the listeners attention to what was most likely to be a surprise ending.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Mortie Quarles, Sr., Mother, Clara Quarles, Siblings; James, Bill, and Mortie, Jr, Sisters; Iris, Dorothy and Vivian.

She leaves behind her children, Garnett, Betty, Janice, Debra, and Sharon; a Brother, Wyndel; and Sisters, Leona, and Viva; 15 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends.

She will be remembered for her wit and sense of humor.
