Delaina Marievia Foster was born to proud parents Bruce E. Foster, Sr. and Angela Marievia (Foster) Huntley in Seaside California on July 10, 1984. As a life long resident of Seaside, Ca, Delaina was affectionally known as “Dee”, departed this life on Wednesday April 21, 2021.

Delaina graduated from Monterey High School in 2002 and attended Monterey Peninsula College studying to become an EMT. It was her goal to become an EMS helicopter pilot and soar the skies.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age of 10 years old at Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Anthony D. Dunham, I, where she served as a choir and dance troop member, sang her heart out in the choir, and was part of the Mission department.

Delaina’s well known passions in life was singing. Singing was her gift that she discovered early in life and it became her passion to sing at every opportunity. She also loved to cook and shared her “Delicious Dee’s” meals with those in her neighborhood.

If you knew Delaina, you knew her infinity for butterflies. Butterflies represented freedom, uniqueness, and the courage to embrace transformation for hope.

We will miss Delaina’s authenticity, big smile, caring heart, infectious laugh, and sense of humor.

She was proceeded in death by her Grandfather, Alfred K. Russell in 1987 and Grandmother Frances L. Russell in 2007.

Sister Foster leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Angela M. Huntley of Seaside Ca, Father Bruce E. Foster Sr of Alabama (Denise); Step Father, Carson Huntley of Seaside, CA; 3 Sons, Stephan V. Delaina will always been my girl. I loved her and that beautiful voice.

I believe I was instrumental in Delaina learning her favorite song, ”I Shall Wear A Crown.” I enjoyed the vocal trainings we shared. Delaina was easy to work with and quick to learn. Now that she had gained Heaven and her crown, she can “put on her robe and tell HER story of how she made it over! “

Delaina’s gentle presence, her infectious smile and laughter will remain a special part of my precious memories that will live with me forever in my heart ❤️. I loved Delaina dearly, but God loved her best.

Family, may you find comfort and peace in the coming days - now and until we all meet again in Heaven! I love you all!

Angie, as we talked the other evening; remember Delaina just our ran us on this wonderful journey to Glory!!!!! We will see her again on the other side.

Love ❤️ prayers and Blessings Always,
Sister Veneta C. Courtney

Well baby girl, you are now free. No more pain, no more suffering, no more worries. I will miss our random daily phone calls, our morning coffee, and your beautiful voice. You left a hole in my heart but my loss is heavens gain. Now you have a mansion, golden slipper, and a crown. I can hear you now hitting notes you have never hit before in that heavenly choir. Rest easy in the arms of Jesus. I’ll see you when I get there. Mommy

I know how much Delaina will be missed. I know that because she left behind so many memories that will never be forgotten. I pray that every opportunity that a reminder of Delaina comes to mind you will say a little prayer. God has her in Him now, away from the cares of this world. She called me affectionately "Aunt Lainey". Her name is in large part my name. Rest well niecey! Be blessed family.

I still can’t believe you’re gone. My best memory of you is the time we spent together at the Monterey Jazz Festival. We were like two sisters sharing our hopes, dreams, hurts, and plans for our future. We laughed and danced all over the fairgrounds. I am grateful we shared many wonderful conversations after that weekend. You are and forever will be my sweet niece. See you when I get there angel, rest easy until we meet again👑❤️😇
