

Born at the Naval Hospital on Guam on December 20, 1966, Jesse Joseph Panganiban, 58, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, in Seaside after a long period of failing health. He is survived by his mother, Carmelita L. Panganiban of Seaside, his brother Marvin (May) of Salinas, and his niece and nephew, Victoria and Dominic, also of Salinas. Jesse leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, CPO Venancio S. Panganiban, USN Ret.
Jesse graduated from Monterey High School (Class of 1985). After graduating from CSU, Sacramento, Jesse worked for U.S. Immigration, Naturalization Service (INS) in Fresno, CA. He then graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to begin his career as a federal law enforcement agent with the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, from which he retired after 29 years. Jesse enjoyed international travel as part of his duties, as well as having the opportunity to work with many others to keep our country safe.
Jesse was kind and generous to friends and family alike. He enjoyed playing host to all who visited Las Vegas, and took them to dine at well-known restaurants or to see great shows headlining there. Jesse is now at peace and will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on May 1, at Bayside Community Mortuary in Seaside, from 3pm-7pm, with a Rosary service at 6pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Seaside, from 11am-12pm. Burial will immediately follow at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside.
