Linda was an adventurous spirit—full of life, joy, and enthusiasm. She truly lived life to the fullest, and everyone who knew her was touched by her vibrant personality. She enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies, including flying airplanes, playing musical instruments, modeling, and performing in local talent shows in Seaside.
She had a deep love for her family, especially her nieces, nephews, and extended family, who lovingly referred to her as “Auntie Linda.” Linda never met a stranger—everyone she encountered quickly became her friend.
She attended local schools, from elementary through Monterey Peninsula College (MPC), where she continued to grow and thrive.
Linda leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life: her loving partner, Marlin Kirkhom; her sisters, Barbara Richardson (Santa Clara, CA) and Pamela Richardson (Marina, CA); her brother, James Julius (JJ) Sherrill; Aunts Annie Black (Sparks, NV), Gloria (Jean) Crawford, (Sparks, NV), Uncle Eddie Lee Robinson, (Monterey, CA), a stepsister Joanne Sherrill, and a large extended family who will deeply miss her.
A Celebration of Life is being scheduled for October 2025. The family will announce the finalized date and time in the coming days.
In Lieu of Flowers:
Because Linda dearly loved being an Auntie and held her nieces and nephews close to her heart, we kindly ask that, in lieu of flowers, you consider making a donation in her name to:
