

Lucinda (Cindy) Rae (Baty) Paul, born Sept. 4th 1955 passed away October 29th, 2024. Survived by her husband, Scott Paul, mother Lilly Baty, sisters Connie Said and Janet Seydel (Jerry), niece Amirah David (Nick), children Opal and Albi, nephew Ryan Said, nephew Jason Coffield (Catie), children Abbigail and Rylee, sister-in-law Lexie and brother-in-law Roger Quiring. Lucinda was born in Manhattan, Kansas, and in 1958 the family moved to San Jose. In1967, they settled in Cupertino, California. From a young age, Cindy had a passion for dance and studied a variety of dance styles including performances in Hawaiian and Tahitian at various pageants. She was a Varsity Cheerleader and graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1973. In 1978 Cindy married her loving husband, Scott Paul. Living in Fremont and later in the East Foothills of San Jose. Cindy enjoyed a network of life long great friends who played an important role in her social and supportive life. She delighted in celebrating birthdays and holidays with her friends and family, where she brought her joy for all to see and feel. An avid fan of the SF 49ers, she enjoyed her friend's play-off parties including Five Superbowl wins. Cindy worked with Lexie in her fashion stores in San Francisco and traveled to New York on buying trips along with opening stores in New Orleans. Later in her life she worked with special needs students at Thornton JR High in Fremont helping them achieve their daily goals. Cindy enjoyed a variety of music from Motown to Progressive Rock and often attended major concerts in the Bay Area. Cindy and Scott enjoyed the outdoor coastal life of California exploring beaches, bluffs and trails, including backpacking in Big Sur, Yosemite, Pt Reyes, Lake Tahoe and Mammoth Lakes but it really was the beaches where she found her happy place eventually moving to Marina, Ca where she could see the sunsets and moonsets from her bedroom on the Monterey Bay.
