

Mae Ella Tucker was born in Hughes, Arkansas, and lived in Little Rock, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee, where she married John Tucker. They moved to Fort Hood, Texas, where they had their firstborn daughter, Marrian Tucker, in 1965. The Tucker family moved to Fort Ord, California, in 1966 and had two more children: Richard Tucker and Joyce Tropet (Tucker). The couple divorced in 1975, and from that point on, Mae raised her three children to the best of her ability.
Mae worked in hospitality for many years until she became disabled, losing the ability to speak clearly. Mae enjoyed attending church, traveling with family, sports, and going to restaurants. Prior to Mae passing away she was able to attend her family Christmas party in Lake Tahoe Dec 2024 , a cruise to Mexico April 2025 and her granddaughter’s wedding in Hawaii from April 21-28 ,2026.
Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Elton Robinson and Clyde Kimble (Davis) of Hughes, Arkansas; her brother, John Brown of Memphis, TN; and her sister, Edna Mae Sampson of Memphis, TN.
She is survived by her ex-husband, John Tucker of Marina, CA; daughter, Marrian Tucker of Marina, CA; son, Richard Tucker of Marina, CA; and daughter, Joyce Tropet of Charlotte, NC; son-in-law, Warren Tropet Jr. of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Natasha Forman of Concord, NC; grandson, Devon Forman; grandson, Derek Millner of Sacramento, CA; granddaughter, Chenee Robinson of Sacramento, CA; granddaughter, Kiesha Millner of Sacramento, CA; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and bonus children.

Memorial services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church on Monday, June 8th of 2026 at 11:00am.
