Penny Rozzi Price, a woman of remarkable strength and passion who lived life entirely on her own terms, passed away in Monterey, California, on February 8, 2026. Born on October 30, 1943, in Great Falls, Montana, Penny spent her childhood in the Big Sky Country before embarking on a life-changing journey in 1967. With her children, Marty and Tammy, their dog Jolie, and all their worldly possessions, she drove from Montana to South San Francisco to start a new chapter.
California remained her home for the rest of her life. Penny built a successful 25-year career as a real estate agent and mortgage broker. It was at the Optimum Health Institute in San Diego that she met her late husband, Robert "Bob" Price. Together, they lived in San Diego before settling in Cameron Park. Following Bob’s passing, Penny moved to Monterey to enjoy her final years by the coast.
An avid golfer and bingo enthusiast, Penny’s greatest joy was the time spent with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ruby Grimes; her brother, Michael Grimes; and her husband, Bob.
Her legacy of determination lives on through her children, Martin Tholen (Liz), Tammy Boak, and Rebecca Rozzi; and her six beloved grandchildren, Kyle Hotchkiss, Zachary Harris, Savannah Harris, Layla Erickson, Skyla Erickson, and Heaven Rozzi.
Interment will take place at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to a charity close to your heart in Penny's name.
