It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Aaron, a beloved husband, Dad, son, brother, and friend to many, who left this world far too soon. Aaron tragically passed away on the 15th November from injuries related to a recent accident. He was surrounded by his family and close friends.
Aaron was a bright light whose warmth, kindness, generosity and love will forever be missed by those fortunate enough to have known him.
Born in Cork, Ireland, Aaron lived a life full of compassion, fun and adventure. He was dedicated to his family and married the love of his life, Catherine. Their bond was an inspiring testament to unconditional love and partnership. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, joy, and shared dreams.
Aaron had a passion for music, reading, travel, food and was a life long supporter of Manchester Utd. He loved bringing people together and had a heart for community. He loved being involved in his children’s interests and activities and encouraged them to travel the world and be submerged in new cultures.
Equally, he enjoyed simply sharing quiet moments with loved ones and cherished life’s simple yet meaningful joys.
Aaron had an eighteen year career at Microsoft, in Dublin, London and Seattle. He had a clear strategic vision and always strived to achieve the right outcome for the business. His quick wit, Irish charm and direct nature helped him along the way. He had huge respect for fellow colleagues, many of whom he classed as amazing friends in and outside of his working life.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Catherine; his children Cate, Finn and Evie; his siblings; Thora, Noel, Peggy, Kathleen, Finbarr, Michael, Therese and David along with countless extended family members and a very large circle of close friends who will carry his memory in their hearts. Aaron is pre-deceased by his parents Denis and Amelia McGrath and his brothers Denis and John.
Though his time with us was far too short, Aaron’s impact on our lives was profound. His memory will forever remind us to love deeply, live fully and hold each other close.
A celebration of Aaron’s life will be held in Seattle in the coming weeks and in London in the New Year, details to follow.
Rest in peace, dear Aaron. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
