Adela Mary Nielson passed away peacefully with family at her side on Aug. 20, 2017. She was 99 years of age. She was born in Wales, N.D. to Rose and Henry Ohlheiser. Adela grew up with five younger brothers in Wales until moving to Mt. Carmel, N.D. where a large farm was purchased and all worked at farming the land for their livelihood. At the age of 20, Adela moved to Grand Forks N.D. where she worked and later met her future husband Arnold. They were married April 4, 1942, and then moved to Washington State, residing in West Seattle. They moved to Kent in 2011 to be closer to family. Adela enjoyed shopping, gardening, playing Piano, arts & crafts, bowling, fishing, painting and slot machines.
She is preceded in death by her husband Arnold, and is survived by her daughter Diane Augerson (Terry) and son Donald Nielson (Vini). Funeral Service will be held August 31, 2017 at 10:30am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 327 2nd Ave S, Kent, WA 98032. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
