

Albert “Al” Larsen, a Viet Nam era US Army Veteran, was born in Tacoma WA. on January 18, 1942, and passed away in Olympia WA. on March 27, 2025 at the age of 83. Al was preceded in death by his wife Connie in 2013. He is survived by his two daughters, Sherri (Ryan) Rominger, Tracey (Travis) Rollins; grandsons, Conner and Colin Childress, as well as numerous extended family members.
Al was an avid computer guy and was at the forefront of the computer revolution during the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, working for the city of Seattle and teaching at a technical college part time in the evenings. After retiring in the early 1990’s, he went back to work and retired three more times.
After his final retirement, Al spent his time revisiting old interests like photography and movies. He sold his house in Seattle and moved to a beautiful home in an active 55+ community in Lacey. He spent his time there pursuing his new love, writing. He acquired two new certifications, wrote two books, and wrote several screenplays. He entered four of his screenplays into contests and has been credited on IMDB with being an Executive Producer on a horror film called Nidstang.
Al loved to tell stories of his life and stories he learned about the lives of various people he met throughout his on-line journeys. He served in the Army during Viet Nam and was stationed in Alaska in an Electrical Engineering position. If you met Al, you undoubtedly heard one of his numerous stories. He was engaging and loved to laugh. His laugh and his love for life will be missed by his many friends and his family.
Funeral Service to be held Saturday, April 12, 2025; 1:00PM, Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home at 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133 followed by committal service, Evergreen Memorial Park, and a reception to follow at the same location.
